Green smoothies are easy to make, full of nutrients and will give you a splash of energy.
What you need:
You need a blender & put all these great foods in it:
2 cups of dark greens ( loosely packed, can be any dark green such as spinach, kale, rommaine, you name it!)
1 small banana
1/2 cup frozen or fresh berries
teaspoon of cinnamon (optional but is great to balance out blood sugar levels)
1 cup of water.
Place all of these ingredients in a blender. Blend it! Depending on your blender you may need to give it a stir mid-way. If for some reason you really find that you need this smoothie sweeter, you can add a teaspoon of agave syrup. Agave is a sweetener that will not impact your blood sugar levels as bad as other sweeteners. However you will probably find that the banana gives it all the sweetness it needs! Enjoy.
