Meditation is a tool that guides us to our true nature. It is a gateway to connecting deep within which is the place of universal wisdom.
You can live your life as if you are walking through the dark, or live your life as if the light is turned on. Meditation is the practice that helps turn on your inner light. Luckily it is simple, and free. However it can be challenging and requires your commitment. In my meditation guide, I guide you through 4 meditations as gateways to the practice. But really, all you need to do right now is close the lights, sit down on a pillow or your bed, close your eyes and let yourself be in your stillness. Let the roaring thoughts pour out, because believe me - they need to release. If you try to resist them they will just linger longer. Then, as you allow the thoughts to release, begin to recognize that you have the power to observe the thoughts. You are not your thoughts, and in this moment, the practice transforms. In this moment you are cultivating awareness, and it is in the awareness, that peace, silence, inner knowing, truth, intuition and bliss live.
You can think of meditation as a three part series
1. Get as comfortable and relaxed in your physical body as you can
2. Allow any thoughts to release and begin to observe your thoughts so that you can watch them without being so attached to them
3. Begin to slip into your inner stillness and peace, being open to inner guidance through the stillness you create in meditation
