The Best Lesson I Learned from Howard Stern & How I Became the Queen of Soulful Entrepreneurship

Howard Stern is a funny guy. I’ve heard his name over a decade ago but never watched anything of his until I was busy watching every YouTube video I could find on Mark Cuban (if you want amazing entrepreneurial advice I suggest you do the same 😉

Howard Stern is a controversial guy because he says the things most people would never say, especially the non p.c things.

I started watching some documentaries on him and learned a really important lesson: He took it upon himself to self-appoint himself the King of Media.

Wait – did you catch that!?

It’s not like he won some award from the International Federation of Media or some Media Oscar Award.

Hell no—he just decided “I’m gonna call myself the king of all media” And he did it as a joke, like an experiment. He figured if Michael Jackson could do it, why couldn’t he give it a try? (That’s right—who do you think was the first person to appoint Michael Jackson as the King of Pop? Yup, that’s right, it was Michael!)

So Howard tried it too, and before he knew it, he was being referred to as such. Seriously. I’m not making this up—you can google it yourself 😉 It was an interview with Piers Morgan where I learned these fascinating insights. Here’s a link: http://vimeo.com/25291751 You’ll hear about it in the first 3-minutes.

Do you see the brilliance here?

You don’t have to wait for anybody’s permission to crown yourself.

All you have to do is Decide, and have the confidence to do it.

You don’t have to wait to be told you’re good enough.

You don’t need permission to take action on your dreams or claim who you are and what you’re great at.

So often, we feel we need permission to be a “coach” a “writer” an “entrepreneur” Well you know what? You don’t need anybody’s permission.

And so with the inspiration from Howard Stern I hereby self-appoint myself The Queen of Soulful Entrepreneurship.

Lol. But why not? 😉 Let’s see if this sticks

Now I want to hear from you: What are you the King or Queen of? What name do you wanna claim? Tell me in the comments below by finishing this sentence: “I hereby self-appoint myself the King/Queen of ________”

OMG I love that! We totally DO always wait for the reassurance, but if we don’t give it to ourselves by ourselves, it may never come (we might not be aware it’s been there all along, since we area used to being hard on ourselves, many times)

I thereby appoint myself the Queen of Passion-Driven Solopreneurship
